Safety and Security

The project undertaken by The Committee @ 11 Trees of USJ get off the ground on Saturday 27 September. Click here

On that morning, it was officiated by State Assemblywoman for Subang Jaya, YB Hannah Yeoh with the invitees from Resident Associations of USJ and SJ, Police from USJ, Officials from MPSJ and of course, the residents of USJ 11/3.
. A new security service is introduced to the community
.
One for the album before starting work
.
Some of the residents at one of the entrances to the community
.
This initiative is to restrict the number of entry and exit points to specific areas thereby creating a gated and guarded community. Though this concept is common to those living in condominium, to implement it to those landed property is something quite new. Besides, the land areas of USJ 11 are big and there are two rows of shop houses fronting one of the main roads.
.
The odd one - yours truly with the new security guards
.
A more secured environment for everyone
.
As I understand, most residents welcome this concept of gated and guarded community in order for better security and safety.

Living in USJ 11/3, I am happy to be one of the residents here having those capable neighbours that make things happen.

To participate in this project, it is not cheap – one has to pay RM 600 per year for the maintenance of the facilities and to engage the security guards. On the lighter side, when I see the guard saluting to me when I am on my way to office in the morning, it definitely makes my day (happy)… :-)
.
Yes! Sir! Have a good day sir!
.
I believe there would be teething problems in the implementation; anyway, there is no problem too big that we cannot solve. What is important is that the project is implemented. Bravo to the Committee @ 11 Trees of USJ !!!

.
The All Women's Team - Yeah! After three hours of tough climb going through muddy ground, the team finally arrived at the peak.
L-R: Rija, Beh, Cynthia, Karen, Kathy, Kelly, Agnes, TehKS, Beh, Rose, Pei Ling, Macy
.
Another group photo with Chey and yours truly (KC) at both ends
.
Paper trail - the improved version. The plastic sheet is securely fasterned on to the branches. With the number, a trekker would know the relative location and distance. With the date, we know that it is current, for the specific purpose of arriving at the peak. Thanks to Tony and ChongYF for the excellent work!

Three years ago, when I first trekked at this trail, we used paper trail that spread on the ground (by a leader). When the wind blows, the paper would be dislocated that might confuse for the correct direction.
.
Hot drink is ready when we returned to the base at around 5 p.m. Thanks to Chan Wing Kai who helped to set up the utensil.
.
At times, the view is misty
.
Pei Ling - Yeah! I finally return!
.
Tony, the Mountain Sifu, confirmed that all retuned safely to base. Three years ago when Tony, Meng, the late Terence and I went trekking at this trail, one trekker (girl) was missing at 6:30 p.m. when the sun was about to set. At night, it was pitch black in the jungle. It was quite a panic situation. We eventually found her at 10 p.m. at night while the other trekkers were waiting at the car park in cold night.
