Apik Hill Outing

Trekking at Apik Hill Cheras on a fine Saturday morning, 17 Dec 2016 ... the expected daily heavy rain only come at 3:30 p.m. The trails were crowded with trekkers. With the monsoon season where many of the mountains are prohibited for trekking until 31 Jan 2017, this is a good venue for outing.

24 Oct to 2 Nov 2017 – Twin-peak (ErFeng follow by DaFeng)

5 Nov to 16 Nov 2017 – Twin-peak (ErFeng follow by DaFeng)

ErFeng = Second Sister Peak, 5276m
DaFeng = Big Sister Peak, 5025m

Status: Both trips are full and closed.

Mount Siguniang in Sichuan, China is a good choice for challenging 5,000 meters plus mountains. Depending on the season, one can go for normal hiking; walking in deep snow; ice climbing and winter mountaineering all within reasonable budgets.

Bukit Kiara Outing

Trail run at Bukit Kiara on Sunday morning, 4 Dec 2016 for a round trip of 12km in 3.5 hours ... it was a good weather that morning as compared to the previous morning's rain. We went to Cabin Trail through Twin Peak and returned via Snake and Ladders Trail to the crossroads junction. The roads there have been beautified.

We then ran at 2K Loop, and to our surprised, there were many mountain bikers cycling at fast speed. We have to warn the other group members by shouting "bikers" in order to give way. We decided to quickly exit the loop.

Overall, it was a good workout that end with a brunch at the Chinese coffee shop in Taman Tun Dr Ismail.
